Susanna Janssen is a foreign language educator, as well as author, speaker, and newspaper columnist on all topics related to words, language, and culture. With 45 years of experience in her field, she is an expert teacher and passionate advocate for language acquisition and the benefits of bilingualism for your brain, your career, your bank account, and your world view. As a college professor, she uncovered what she calls “The Secret to Everything”, and now applies this simple strategy to language learning and motivating people to achieve their goals in any area of life.
Susanna continues to teach Spanish and Italian, coach language learners on skill development, organize group travel abroad, work as a volunteer translator at a medical clinic in Mexico, and develop learning resources to make foreign language acquisition practical, fun, and effective. Her life as a writer, speaker, and teacher is dedicated to changing the linguistic culture of America by advocating for learning foreign language at any age.
She resides in Mendocino County of Northern California where magnificent redwood trees, legendary red wines, and great friendships are a source of wonder, inspiration, and joy.
